Frank and Alice decide on names for two of their triplets and allow Phoebe to choose a name for the second boy. Phoebe hesitates between naming him “Chandler” or “Joey,” leading to a playful rivalry between the two men, each vying for the honor. Meanwhile, Ross becomes anxious when he discovers that Susan is in London and has grown close to Emily, stirring uncomfortable memories for him. Rachel enjoys a romantic evening with Joshua and hopes to take the relationship to the next level. However, their plans are interrupted when Joshua’s parents, who were supposed to be away, return unexpectedly. Caught off guard, Rachel is dressed in a revealing negligee, but she quickly improvises, claiming it’s a dress by an Italian designer. Though shocked, Joshua’s parents invite the couple out for dinner, with Rachel still in her negligee. Ross becomes increasingly paranoid, suspecting that Emily might be a lesbian as well, but his friends urge him to stop overthinking and not let his past with Carol damage his relationship with Emily.

• In this episode, Phoebe eventually decides the name the third baby Chandler but only if (adult) Chandler keeps his name. After Phoebe leaves, Chandler reveals it was just a ruse but Joey will ultimately have the last laugh when baby Chandler turns out to be a girl.
