PART 03 of 10
Sasha Alexander, born in Los Angeles, rose to prominence for her role as Special Agent Caitlin Todd in the first two seasons of NCIS. Before NCIS, she appeared in notable TV shows such as Dawson’s Creek and Friends.
Her character’s storyline on NCIS concluded tragically in the season 2 finale when she was shot by a terrorist. Despite her departure, Alexander made sporadic appearances on the show in subsequent seasons, including seasons 3, 9, and 12.
In a 2012 interview with TV Guide magazine, Alexander shed light on the demanding schedule of filming a network show like NCIS, emphasizing the grueling nature of producing 24 episodes per year.
Following her tenure on NCIS, Alexander ventured into other projects, notably starring in the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles and appearing in Showtime’s Shameless. Additionally, she made a guest appearance on Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2020. Her film credits include roles in Yes Man (2008) and He’s Just Not That Into You (2009).
In her personal life, Alexander married writer and director Edoardo Ponti, son of legendary actress Sophia Loren, in 2007. Together, they have two children: daughter Lucia Sofia and son Leonardo Fortunato.
