The divorce of Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner, his wife of nearly two decades, has been finalized
It seems that Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner have officially divorced after nearly two decades of marriage. The divorce was finalized on a Friday, as per court records filed on Tuesday. Initially, their separation involved disputes over child custody and support payments, with indications of a potentially contentious trial.
However, the couple managed to reach a settlement agreement in September, avoiding the need for a trial. The terms of the settlement grant them joint custody of their two sons, aged 16 and 15, as well as their 13-year-old daughter. In September, a judge ordered Costner to pay approximately $63,000 per month in child support, a significant reduction from Baumgartner’s initial request of $175,000 per month.
Kevin Costner, aged 69, and Christine Baumgartner, aged 48, began their relationship in 1998 and tied the knot in 2004 at Costner’s ranch in Colorado.
