Cillian Murphy makes stunning revelation about James Bond role

Despite being endorsed by a former bond actor, Cillian Murphy feels he is wrong for the role

Irish Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy’s name has been thrown around in the conversation about casting the new James Bond. However, in a resurfaced clip the actor admitted he feels unsuitable for the iconic role.

March, Murphy told Deadline that he feels “a bit old” to take on the legendary Bond role. The actor was responding to a comment that former Bond actor Pierce Brosnan made, saying that he would like to see Murphy play the role and do it justice.

“No. I think I’m a bit old for that,” Murphy said.

Brosnan starred in four Bond films between the years 1995 and 2002. He was preceded by the most recent bond, Daniel Craig. After a new Bond film was announced, the world began to speculate which actor was powerful enough to take on the Goliath role.

Murphy became the first Irish person to win in a best actor category at the Oscars this year. Despite his mega success, he remains publicly humble, particularly in the conversation about the Bond role.

Other actors like Idris Elba, Aaron Taylor Johnson, and Theo James have all been rumored to become the newest addition to the Bond club.
