Cork-born actor Cillian Murphy is set to front Versace’s new fashion campaign, marking his debut as the face of the iconic Italian luxury brand. The campaign, featuring Murphy in key pieces from the men’s Versace Icons collection, will launch globally on April 3rd.
Versace’s chief creative officer, Donatella Versace, expressed her excitement about Murphy joining the Versace family, praising his exceptional talent and magnetic presence in front of the camera.
Murphy’s collaboration with Versace comes after he donned a black custom Atelier Versace suit at the 96th Academy Awards in Hollywood, where he accepted the award for best actor for his portrayal of J Robert Oppenheimer in the biographical war film.
Known for his roles in Christopher Nolan’s films and the BBC series Peaky Blinders, Murphy’s partnership with Versace adds another dimension to his diverse career.
Meanwhile, Versace unveiled its 2024 autumn/winter collection during Milan Fashion Week, characterized by a rebellious attitude and meticulous craftsmanship. The collection features a smaller Medusa logo across various designs, reflecting the brand’s innovative approach to fashion.
