Aaron Taylor-Johnson Runs Out of Words in His Praise for ‘28 Years Later’ Starring Cillian Murphy

Oppenheimer’s summer sensation will forever brand 2023 as the year of atomic proportions, unleashing a chain reaction of accolades, culminating in a clean sweep of award seasons in 2024. Cillian Murphy has long been a Hollywood heavyweight, but his explosive entrance via Christopher Nolan’s pipeline sparked a frenzy of anticipation around his next power move. Little did the fans know, Murphy was barely just plotting his own trajectory but also Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s with Danny Boyle, following the tank of Kraven the Hunter to position his co-star for reclamation with 28 Years Later.

Meanwhile, Johnson’s box-office resurgence is proving to be a swift one, with his Nosferatu spinning raving reviews, and leaving him speechless in praise of 28 Years Later.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson needs another dictionary, thanks to Cillian Murphy’s 28 Years Later

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has yet to get his merry jolt after the latest plummeting of Kraven the Hunter. While redemption may be on his cards this year with the Christmas Day arrival of Nosferatu, all eyes are on Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later starring Cillian Murphy, alongside his own. In a recent conversation on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz, Johnson struggled with the lack of “enough vocabulary to articulate” the extraordinary experience.

Giving the credits to the “two finest British actors,” Murphy and Ralph Fiennes for making the filming a stage of mastery, Johnson redirected his swooning session for the filmmaker. He highlighted Boyle’s “child-like enthusiasm” and unrelenting energy to explain how contagious it was that “inspired” him to be an actor all over again. Boyle’s filmmaking has been such a highlight of his career, Johnson likened the experience to falling in love with acting from the get-go.
