Prince Harry’s U.S. Residency at Risk Amid Upcoming 2024 Presidential Election

Prince Harry may soon face intensified legal challenges surrounding his U.S. residency as the 2024 general election approaches. The Duke of Sussex, 40, has been embroiled in a two-year visa dispute, raising questions about his future in America if political circumstances shift.

Reports indicate that if former President Donald Trump returns to office, Harry’s continued residency in the U.S. could be threatened. The Duke’s visa status was brought into question following revelations in his memoir, Spare, where he admitted to using substances such as cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms. Although a judge ruled last month to keep Harry’s visa records confidential, the Heritage Foundation has since filed a 13-page motion to reopen the case.

Royal commentator Phil Dampier shared with The Sun, “This has been ongoing for nearly two years. The Heritage Foundation, a prominent Washington-based think tank, believes Prince Harry may have been treated differently from other visa applicants.” Dampier added that, with the election drawing near, this issue could be strategically timed: “If Donald Trump were re-elected, this situation might pose serious complications for Harry and Meghan, given Trump’s known opposition to them.”

With the U.S. election set for November 5, 2024, Prince Harry’s legal battle and residency status are likely to remain under scrutiny, keeping public focus on the Sussexes’ standing in America.
