EXCLUSIVE: #TimRoth has become the latest high-profile name to join the cast of Netflix’s #PeakyBlinders movie. The prolific English actor will join star Cillian Murphy as well as Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan in the Tom Harper-directed and highly-anticipated feature extension of the BAFTA-winning series.

Tim Roth has joined the cast of the upcoming “Peaky Blinders” movie for Netflix, according to Deadline. This film will continue the story of the acclaimed TV series, with Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby. Production is expected to start before the end of the year.

Alongside Roth and Murphy, the cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan, though their specific roles haven’t been revealed yet. Plot details are under wraps, but series creator Steven Knight mentioned that the story is set during World War II and promises to be “really good.”

Tom Harper, who directed the last three episodes of the series’ first season, will direct the film. Knight will co-produce it with Murphy, Caryn Mandabach, and Guy Heeley, while Harper and several others will serve as executive producers.

Murphy expressed his excitement about returning to the role, saying, “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me.” Knight shared his enthusiasm too, calling the movie an “explosive chapter” in the “Peaky Blinders” saga.

The original series premiered in 2013 and followed the Peaky Blinders crime gang after World War I, concluding in 2022 after six seasons. Knight has hinted that this film will serve as a “fitting conclusion” to the series, with potential future shows continuing the story of the family and their world.
