According to GB News, PR expert Ed Coram James commented on the Sussexes’ evolving brand, stating that they may have greater impact individually than as a couple. “Since their marriage, Harry and Meghan have developed a distinct brand identity. Whether called ‘Harry and Meghan’ or ‘the Sussexes,’ they have become nearly inseparable in the public’s mind,” James explained. However, he noted that since their candid interview with Oprah Winfrey, the brand has faced increasing challenges, gradually becoming “commercially untenable.”
James added, “Together, the Sussex brand has become toxic from a PR standpoint. Separately, however, they each have an opportunity to create unique, individual brands with fresh identities.”
